We appreciate your interest in West Virginia University Institute of Technology. As you consider where you will pursue your degree, it is never too early to begin thinking about how you will finance your education.

At WVU Tech, getting a high-quality, career-focused education is more affordable than you may think. By applying for admission to WVU Tech, you are automatically considered for our very attainable, valuable scholarship opportunities. The information below is an overview of our West Virginia Resident, leadership and transfer student scholarships.

Simply apply for admission. WVU Tech does not charge an application fee, so investing in a brighter future will only cost you a few minutes of your time.

Scholarships of Distinction

To find your scholarship level, simply find your GPA on the left and match it to your test scores on the bottom of the chart. Where those two numbers meet determines the level of scholarship you're eligible for. Leadership Scholarship

In recognition of outstanding achievement, West Virginia University provides a scholarship to first-time freshmen who have achieved the highest levels of honor or leadership within certain nationally acclaimed organizations.

Diversity Scholarship 

West Virginia University strives to advocate for an inclusive, diverse, and accepting community. In addition to our current scholarship programs, we are pleased to offer incoming first-time freshmen for all WVU campuses the opportunity to apply for our Diversity Scholarship. This program is designed to award exceptional and talented students who have been traditionally underrepresented on college campuses, and who are culturally, ethnically, or racially diverse.

Go First Scholarships (for test-optional students)

WVU Tech has adopted a test-optional application; students can submit their application without an ACT or SAT score. In addition, our admissions application and merit awarding both include a no-harm policy – students will not be penalized whether applying with scores or test-optional.
